Mandatory kJ figures for fast food chains0

More and more fast food chains are now displaying the kilojoule counts on their menus. I think this is a great thing for helping consumers make more informed choices and it’s soon going to be mandatory for fast food stores with 20 or more outlets in NSW, or 50 or more nationwide, to add this information to their menus.

Catherine Saxelby, an Australian accredited nutritionist, goes into great detail about this in her recent email newsletter. It’s well worth a read! {via Foodwatch, photo credit newsone}.

Would you like to see more calorie/kilojoule labelling on menus?
