I’ve never been to Chicago or ever eaten of these deep style pizzas (they’re almost the height of a cake!), so I don’t have anything to compare these to, but they were really yummy.
I’m not sure if this is a good description, but the crust tasted like a crisper version of Turkish Pide, with a definite taste of olive oil – more so than in a regular pizza base.
The generous portion of toppings is a bit overwhelming at first but works really well with the extra crisp base.
I liked both flavours but preferred the Italian Sausage because it had more melted cheese on top! I’ll definitely alternate these with pizzas from my local joint once in a while.
