@Y - They're so yummy aren't they?!
@Peter G - Thanks Peter, appreciate it :)
@Robert - I'd love to hear what your local wasabi dressing recipe is! Hope you enjoy my version.
@Hedonistic Hostess - I've never tried powdered wasabi only the paste that comes in a tube. You're right though, the fresh one in incomparable. Well worth seeking out.
@Laura - Boo for expensive avos! Hope they come down in price soon for you.
@Arwen - Thanks very much! :)
@Heidi - I agree wholeheartedly! Salmon with this salad is divine.
@Steph - I know! I love the spicy heat it adds.
@Soma - :) Glad to have another avo lover here!
@Dragon - Ha! You crack me up! Go ahead and bathe in it all you like mate.
@Lorraine - One side would be lovely for dipping :)
@Marc - You're right, it's very Spring-like. Enjoy!

Ooh yum, wasabi goes so well in salad dressings, what a perfect combination. I'm so envious of your fresh wasabi supply!

Hola Christie,

Oh girl, looks like this post of you was made with me on your mind, I just looove salads so much, they have become my main dish, problem is I was about to start to get short on ideas of new salad recipes.

I agree on the spinach-cucumber-avocadocombo. Is a winner!. The downsize is here in China avocados are so damn expensive, but since they are so healthy I will just ignore the price tag and put them on my basket when I hit the supermarket.

Oh, if you ask me, I believe your salad is crying: salmon, salmon!!!! ;-D

I've never used fresh wasabi at home, but I love the powdered wasabi. I'd imagine the fresh stem would be much more flavourful. Seriously tempted to order some online...in fact I think I will.

Dera Friend!
Greetings from Shizuoka, Japan!
Why do I have the impression this recipe is Japanese inspired? LOl
Great pic and great recipe?
I actually live in the land of Wasabi as Shizuoka Prefecture produces 80% of the total Japanese crop!
We even have a local wasabi salad dressing!
It wil be easy for me to emulate your idea!
Cheers,
Robert-Gilles
