So many recipes, so little time!
I thought a good way to keep track of all the gorgeous recipes I find everyday at my favourite food blogs was to start posting a weekly round up featuring a theme ingredient.
That way I can share my discoveries with you and save a load of bookmarks for myself. Clever, huh?
If you (or I) ever want to find a particular archived ingredient in this series, the nifty little search bar in the top right hand corner will prove very helpful.
This week’s ingredient is CHERRIES.
Here we go:
- Pickled sour cherries by the wonderful David Lebovitz sound absolutely moreish. If only they were easier to get hold of fresh here in Oz!
- The always inspiring Jaden from Steamy Kitchen has my heart with her Persian sour cherry saffron rice. So many drool worthy ingredients in one dish should be illegal.
- Nicole at Pinch my salt certainly got my attention with her Mini cherry cheesecakes, the photo is adorable, the way the sauce dribbles onto the plate…
- I’m always jealous of Deb at Smitten Kitchen’s photos and her Coconut PinkCherry yoghurt ones are no exception.
- The gorgeous Lorraine from Not Quite Nigella showcases her expertise with combining flavours with the delicious Chocolate Sorbet with Sour Cherries. Yum!
- I love the name of this recipe by Clotilde at Chocolate & Zucchini Swimming Cherries with Hazelnut Rosemary tuiles.
- I’m also a fan of peaches so Food Blogga’s Fresh Cherry and Peach Upside Down Cake really appeals to me. It looks so moist!
Have you got a favourite cherry recipe? Leave me a link in the comments.
Happy eating, Christie

Thanks for the shout out sweetie! I wonder what next week’s will hold
The other dishes look fantastic, luckily I’ve never met a cherry that I didn’t like

Great list, I love cherries but always end up eating them all out of hand. The next time they are in season here I will buy a huge batch and try out some of this recipes.
