Did this tonight was gona add walnuts but it would seem someone has been nibbling at them (the wife). I added chopped dried figs and fat black raisins. Was toying with the idea of putting a splash of maple syrup in the custard mix but someone doesn’t like it but sounds good.

I hear you on not being wasteful. I made it my new years resolution last year to not waste food and the money I have saved has been unbelievable!

Great recipe for leftover bananas! Would be divine with a caramel sauce :)

I do the same thing. Whenever I have leftover bread, I turn it into bread pudding with everything else that is miscellaneous in my refrigerator. And, of course, that looks like the perfect breakfast when you are on a holiday.

I hate wasting food too! I used to be very wasteful but made a conscious effort not to be. Sounds great-it’s also really nice with a bourbon sauce (although I’m sure if you’re back to basics, perhaps Bourbon doesn’t figure in the cupboard!)
