Hello lovely readers,
Sorry there hasn’t been much yummy action on here for a few weeks.
I’ve been busy preparing the nursery and going on my babymoon (one last holiday for pregnant couples before the crazy sleepless nights begin!).
There’s just over four weeks to go now, exciting times. And yes, I still have not got the baby blog live. Oh dear. It will materialise at some point, promise.
For now, here’s a lasagne I made a few weeks ago, but no recipe I’m afraid.
I slipped some wilted cavelo nero and fried eggplant chunks in the centre layer – on a whim – and it turned out to be the best lasagne I’ve ever made. Go figure.
I made the most humungous batch of bechamel sauce for the top because I love it so much. There was quite a bit left over which I ate leaning over the stove with a spoon and licked the pot clean. Chef’s secret ;)
I’ve got two big slices stashed in the freezer for an inevitable night in November when I can’t cook because I’m feeding my baby. Actually, I think I better get going and prepare a few more meals.
