Hey Guys!

Hope you’ve been enjoying all the festive food, booze and laughter. I know I have.

Although I’m very upset because I got stuck into the gorgeous turkey I made before taking any photos. Not a single one.

Lucky I’m good with words. Here’s the menu:

XMAS LUNCH MENU

The main event:
Roast turkey wrapped in proscuitto with pork, orange and sage stuffing
Field mushrooms with sun dried tomato couscous topping
Roast new potatoes and sweet potatoes
Pan fried zucchini, squash, snow peas and roast tomatoes

Dessert:
Chocolate mousse with whipped cream and macerated strawberries
Special dessert for my Dad who doesn’t like chocolate:
Meringue with mango, passionfruit, nectarine and whipped cream

COMING UP

After lunch The Bear and I jumped on a plane and headed to the far North Coast of NSW to have dinner with his family. It was catered by a Japanese chef.

Guess what? I remembered to take photos! Check back in a few days to check them out – 8 gorgeous courses.

NEWS

The big news for today though is to let you know about a blogging event I’m hosting in January – The Potato Ho Down.

The event was started by two lovely ladies: Cathy from Noble Pig and Krysta from Evil Chef Mom. Their love of potatoes is so strong they’re willing to call themselves Potato Hos.

I’ve entered twice before with my stir fried chilli potatoes and my sweet potato and coconut soup. But I have no idea what I’m going to make for this one!
