Happy Birthday to me!28

Posted on September 23, 2008 by ChristieFood News

I know I said I’d start giving you the recipes from the Aussie BBQ bonanza, but today’s my birthday, so I’m a bit preoccupied!

Champagne with edible wild hibiscus and dinner at Restaurant Assiette are on the menu – I’m particularly looking forward to the confit duck and chocolate fondant with macadamia nut brittle ice cream. Wow!

Update: The confit duck leg was amazing!!! But the fondant wasn’t on the menu ;(

I’ve been showered with gifts from The Bear and there’s still more to follow. I feel very lucky.

Drop by again soon to get those recipes – I promise they’re not far off!

Happy eating, Christie

Syrie – No, the hibiscus is really sweet. They come packed in a jar with sugar syrup. I think they taste like a combination of raspberry and rhubarb (yum!)
