[Cherry ripe macaron by Y from LemonPi]
The lovely Y from LemonPi has kindly made a macaron homage to my favourite chocolate bar, cherry ripe. I am so touched I’m speechless – a very rare occurrence.
Y very sweetly named it “To Christie, with love”. It’s a mouth watering combination of bitter chocolate sauce, coconut sorbet, sour cherry compote, with chestnut crumble and custard.
Are you drooling? I am. Mmmm, custard.
Miss Y’s blog is definitely one to keep your eye on. Not only does she have a clever knack for combining the most delicious flavours, but is also quite a pro at plating up desserts, and photographing them in true food porn style.
Thank you very much for this gorgeous homage! Although we’ve never met in person, I am so flattered, and insist on taking you out for a coffee to repay you… no excuses!
Here’s a few things I have in mind:
That should do for now. What are you doing in 2009?

LOL at speechless bit. It’s as gorgeous as you are dear girl! :)
What a macaroon, yum! I’m looking forward to your tomatoes. I didn’t manage to germinate them (I made it too wet), but I have some cool purple beans growing.
Looks like you have a busy and exciting year ahead to look forward to.
Happy 2009!
