The best perk of being a food blogger is getting to eat lots of scrumptious things (usually for free) and then writing about them.
My personal favourite though, is receiving fresh produce or condiments to experiment with in my cooking adventures.
Do you have a new years resolution to eat more healthy foods?
Great, I’ve got just the website for you. It’s called Mix My Muesli.
Last year I saw a post about this fantastic new site on The Little Lioness (thanks Fiona!) and I immediately sent the link to my mother in law who is always looking for good gluten free muesli.
If you’re like me, then you’re always on the look out for the perfect muesli mix. But can never find it.
At Mix My Muesli you can make the perfect mix; Choose your base (oats, wheat etc), add nuts, dried fruit or naughty treats like choc chips and then they mix it up for you and post it straight to your door.
Ding dong, breakfast is ready! (more…)
Having a newborn baby in the house means that, sadly, there’s not much time for cooking.
All offers of free food or help with cleaning are greatly accepted and appreciated by me right now!
Hubby and I tried both flavours: Vegetarian Antipasto (pictured above) and Italian Sausage… (more…)
Two posts in a row… I’m on fire this week :P
I’ve got a very yummy freebie for you today. This week, the lovely peeps at Harvest Box sent me one of their snack boxes as well as a special coupon code for my readers to receive their first box free (worth $6.95 including delivery) and their second box half price.
Harvest Box is a new service whereby you choose your favourite healthy snacks from a range of nuts, fruit and crackers and then they box them up and send them straight to your office or home.
See pic above for what they sent me… prunes, dried mango, macadamia nuts, sultanas, pistachios, yoghurt covered berries and candied nuts. Cool, huh?
OK, so I guess you want the code? Click the button below to grab it! (more…)
Last weekend my lovely mother in law and her lovely sister drove down from the far North Coast to deliver my hubby’s childhood cradle.
Altogether now… awwwww.
My baby girl is going to love it (in November).
On the way, they stopped just outside Port Macquarie and grabbed me some super-ripe tomatoes and tomato relish.
Not just any tomatoes, Ricardoes Tomatoes. From Ricardoes farm where you can pick your own tomatoes and strawberries by the bucket-full.
In possession of such wonderful produce I could only do one thing – cook! (more…)
You’ll never guess what just happened?
A dozen super-cute Ghermez Cupcakes arrived at my office!
The lovely card said they were to congratulate me on being pregnant with my first baby.
Yes, I am seriously feeling like a celebrity right now.
I was just thinking the other day how cool it was that Dannii Minogue got sent a Bellybean Maternity Pillow when she was expecting. I’ve ordered one and am eagerly awaiting its arrival.
I know I said a million years ago that I was starting a baby blog, but it’s really underway now and hubby is working hard to have it finished very soon. I’ll be sure to let you know the second it goes live!
